Feeding the Hummingbirds
2012-08-30
A friend noted that the hummingbirds really need the feeders as the drought has reduced the number of flowers available to them. Here in the east we have had more rain than they've had in the west side of the continent, yet our feeders need replenishing every three days. So, help a mythic flyer and keep your hummingbird feeders full!

"Some hummingbird species fly 2,000 miles during migration. And with a heart rate of up to 1,200 beats per minutes, they often need to eat five times their body weight, every day."
Thanks Joanne!
