Aug 30 Despatcho and Full Moon Fire pictures
2012-09-01
This was the first traditional style Despatcho since the fire ban was lifted in this county.
We honoured Chaos and Creation. Out of Chaos comes Creation.
It was interesting how the sugar Southern Cross wound up being off centre to the incense Southern Cross. There were lots of vortexes in the composition of the Despatcho, and Rainbows were a repeating theme, including the Rainbow serpent formed into a mobius strip, then into an infinity sign. Sonya is perfecting her making of rainbow wool, an appreciated gift.
There were gifts from nature: loon feathers and woodpecker feathers. Thanks for the loon feathers, Annerose. And thanks for the feather, Downy Woodpecker.
It was wonderful to have a fire again and to burn the Despatcho, releasing the intentions to the heavens. It brought to me an awareness of gratitude for all the things we take for granted.
The ashes in the morning have a binary formation, as did much of the Despatcho.
