Celebrating Turkey Vultures, Condors of the North
2012-11-22
Annerose spotted at least 40 turkey vultures riding the thermals above the Elora Centre for the Arts a couple of weeks ago.
These huge birds are cousins to Hatun Kuntu, the Condor of the Andes. Often they fly above our fire pits on ceremony days, bringing messages from Spirit, from the Apus (mountains). See the Fulacht Fia entry Oct 20-21 for an example of this.
Thanks TVs, and thanks, Annerose!
