Pictures from the Jan 26th Full Moon Fire and Despatcho
2013-01-28
This Full Moon was about letting go of what held us back, what prevented us from achieving our dreams. Much newly dried white sage, peppermint and other herbs were used, making this a very fragrant Despatcho.
In the past few weeks a number of people have passed over, and the Despatcho became a kind of remembering of them. Rikki Wieland, a local Artist, Traveller and Wisewoman who passed last week, made an energetic apprearance and said "have no regrets in this life." You can see all the orange physallis hearts that were placed in the centre of the offering, and how they held up the Mama Cocha shell, the shell that holds the intent of the Despatcho.
The Moon was full and beautiful, like a big pumpkin when she first came up above the horizon. The snow melted in wonderful spiky patterns around the firepit, definitely a winter fire.
