Stop and Drink in the Flowers and Buds, Spring is Really Here
A wonderful time for walking meditation, watching how the sprouts turn to leaves, the buds turn to flowers. Life out of death and rebirth.
Bloodroot, Uvularia, yellow Trout Lily with a pink Spring Beauty, red Wake Robin, a Hemlock seedling and an old Yellow Birch nurse tree.
The Spring Beauty (and it *is* a beauty!) is new flower for me, despite 11 years of walking this property minutely observing the many species of flower offerings the forest makes. The elegant flower grows from a potato like tuber which is harvested by the First Peoples.
Happy Full Moon!
