May 1, A Community Water Preservation Ceremony
2015-06-08
Groundwater is precious, and pure groundwater is not a product, it is sacred.
Near Elora there is an artesian well, and the community wishes to preserve this water in the ground.
A beautiful stream moves through the woods by the Elora Gorge Conservation area. This large rock, shaped like a frog, guards the stream. In the Andes of Peru, frogs are messengers to the heavens, so we ask this frog to take our message of water staying unbottled and flowing naturally to the heavens.
This beautiful cateract waterfall is where the stream goes over the limestone rocks, and down into the Grand River. Sacred water.
