The Forest God, Ready for the Summer Solstice Celebrations
2015-06-16
Each year we make a twig sculpture of the Celtic Forest God, and decorate him with flowers. This is the representation of the Masculine Principle in the Universe, and in the Celtic world the Summer Solstice is the time on the Wheel of the Year when this energy is at its height. The sun warms the growing crops, and the Earth Herself.
All around the world, bonfires are lit celebrating this day. Come and join us, for potluck dinner, for the fire ceremony with the Forest God, or both! Just bring real flowers, something for dinner, and a donation for the local food bank. RSVP please!
