The Beauty Salon: Meditation and Music with Trudy Artman
In these challenging times, we invite you to gather on the Land for an evening providing balm for the soul.
It is with great pleasure that we will be hosting Trudy Artman, along with special guests, in her Beauty Salon series. The first of the Series will be held on Saturday April 8, 6:30pm to 9:00pm.
*Beauty: A quality that gives rise to pleasure and exalts the mind and spirit
*Salon: a gathering to please and increase knowledge
The evening will unfold in two parts, beginning with the spoken and sung word, including inspiring original music, written and performed by Trudy. The vibration of these words from the sages -Storytelling, music and poetry of the Mystics - will lift the Soul, allowing the Spirit within us to rise into moments of beauty.
The last part of the evening, you will experience a guided meditation accompanied by the Shruti Box, a beautiful Indian drone instrument. Shruti means "to hear"; the sound is said to capture the brain to melt into the heart.
By shifting our inner landscape with Mindful Breathing, and Shruti music, we will be given the opportunity to expand the heart, fly with eagle, connect to Great Spirit/the Divine.
The evening will be completed with nourishment of a physical nature, to enhance grounding and connection for the journey home.
Join us for this most transcendent evening filled with beauty and joy!
Contribution of $20 is requested.
Space is limited. Please RSVP.
Bring a yoga mat, if you have one, if you wish to lie down for the meditation/journey (we have a limited supply).
