What a wonderful Hummingbird journey this North has been! While we were doing the North work, Debbie Danbrook, http://www.healingmusic.com/ who plays the Shakuhatchi flute, the only woman trained to do this by Japanese monks, just happened to be at Five Oaks doing a concert, and it just happened that one of the allyu has taken flute lessons from Debbie, and so it transpired that one morning we all got to hear 15 minutes of amazing Hummingbird music. Debbie's story is right there in the mythic, not knowing how she was going to learn how to play this instrument, yet flying halfway around the world in a very Hummingbird way to learn this amazing soul-reaching flute music.
We sang the beautiful Sacred Apu song in ceremony one evening as the allyu recieved the Altomesayok rites. Here are a couple of the Sacred Apus themselves, the place where we source our wisdom.
Thanks to all who participated, to Ona Sachs who is teaching this allyu, and to the land and staff at 5 Oaks also.
