May 5 Super Full Moon, garden clean up, Despatcho and Fire, wow
We are so greatful to all of you who turned out for the garden clean up, and building the new fire pit. Thank you, thank you, thank you! It all looks beautiful.
The pot luck was excellent, and by the time we got to the Despatcho, there were 27 people here, and 15 Mesa carriers! You can see all the Mesas around the Despatcho in the third picture. The communities of London, Cambridge, Elora, Mississauga, Guelph, Fergus, Kitchener, Waterloo, Toronto and St. Johns Newfoundland via Tara in Ireland were represented when we put the cranberries into the Despatcho. And the Canadian Four Winds North Allyu and the April and May South Medicine Wheel allyus were also represented by all the little maple leaves in the second photo. The Sacred site of Tara, Ireland, was represented by a chocolate bar, which shows up in the fifth shot. Thanks, Regina!
We went out to the May Tree, and decorated it with ribbons, then build a fire in the new pit, decorated it with streamers and then lit it. Mama Quilla, the Super Moon, so close you could almost touch her, rose over us. Later on when I went out to check the fire after everyone left, the cows were mooing, the earthworms were rustling, and the foxes were hunting, all inspired by the energy from Mama Quilla. The ashes were a container shape, which was reminiscent of the container you all created with this sacred energy. At 5 am, the moon was setting spectacularly among the clouds. The May Tree is quite festive with her new ribbons. A big thank you to all of you!
