Around Urubamba, in the Middle of the Sacred Valley
2012-07-02
So today we are visiting the beautiful Chakra Gardens at Willka Tika, a guest house west of Urubamba. Carol Cumes first visited the Sacred Valley in 1984, and started to build Willka Tika beginning in 1994, and continuing over many years. There are beautiful guesthouses, the food is amazing and the staff is Quecha, so it is an ecological and cultural visit rolled into one. http://www.willkatika.com/willka-tika
We are here to visit the Charka Gardens, seven riotously colourful gardens in themes: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple and white, which correspond to the chakras of the human body. There are many water features, and the whole gardens centre around the White Garden, which is sheltered by a 500 year old lucuma tree, truly a great spirit being.
It is so restful here in the gardens that Carol created. Ahhh, connect to Pachamama.
